The Difference Between Truth and Facts
Truth and facts have a lot in common, but they are not exactly the same. Truth is something that is the case. Facts are true statements. Truth is best described using facts and logical reasoning.
A Factoid is a brief piece of information that appears true, but isn’t necessarily completely factual or verified. Factoids include facts, memes, myths, urban legends, and simply logical conclusions based on existing data. The defining factor is that it has not been verified as “a true fact“.
See our Facts section and Myths section for lists of all factoids researched by FactMyth.com.
